Don’t Race Your Motor

Over the years, I have come to realize that things happen at a natural pace. Whenever you try to force things to happen at a more rapid pace, you will become frustrated or fatigued. With entrepreneurs, this can create all kinds of anxieties and unnecessary pressure. I see this in the corporate world all the time – i.e. “all actions must deliver results this quarter”. On the contrary, this does not mean we should simply do nothing - or worse, make up lame excuses. However, some of my greatest successes have come after many years of quality, focused execution. Once you have a solid, defined strategy, the leader must help it evolve and encourage great execution over time.  True success is learning how to find the natural flow of the deal, the relationship, etc. Remember grandma's old expression: Patience is a Virtue.
